In my sophomore year, I applied to AmazeWoW, it is an initiative started by Amazon to promote women in tech. The application opened in April and includes the basic information about me and education details.

After about a week, they conducted some sessions to address our doubts regarding the online test and what will be the pattern of the test and they explained some basic topics covered in it like arrays, strings, and trees.

The online test was conducted at the end of May, it comprises a total of 4 sections —
Code Debug — we have to find errors in the small pieces of code and the duration for this section was 20 mins.
Coding Test — one coding question was given and we have to write the full code for that in 70 mins.
Working Style Assessment — this section contains questions regarding amazon principles and to what extent it represents our work style and the duration was 10–15 mins.
Logical Ability — this section consists of MCQ questions related to logical thinking and the time duration was 35 mins.

In the 1st week of June, I got a mail that I have cleared the online test and I have to choose the slot for an interview. This week also amazon conducted some sessions on the interviews, how to prepare, and what to prepare.

My interview was scheduled 10 days after the day I got the mail. During that time, I tried to give as many mock interviews as I could to the seniors who had interviewed with amazon before. Along with that, I did the top 50 ques that were asked by amazon before from Leetcode premium and GeeksForGeeks. These questions helped me a lot as some questions get repeated in the interview.

The interview started with a discussion on my previous internship and project which was mentioned on my resume. After that, I was asked some questions on the skills mentioned on the resume. Then he asked me 2 coding questions, the first one was easy based on graphs (dfs) and I had done that before on Leetcode, the second one was on strings, this question was new and a bit tough but after discussing some approaches, I arrived at the solution and coded it. The interviewer was very helpful, he guided me throughout the interview, whenever I was stuck. At the end of the interview, he asked me if I have some questions for him.

It was overall an amazing experience and finally, I got selected.
The selection mail came 2 months after the interview.
